Slippers

The floor of my apartment

Is very cold.

I wear slippers on my

Small feet, because otherwise

My toes would feel

Like tiny icicles.

Whenever I forget what I’m doing

I look to see where I put them last.

They are usually nestled together like

best friends.

 

Then I remember what it was

I was doing, and I finish the task.

You might think this story is cute,

But I want you to know:

I just farted, and

It smells awful.

I love ruining poems.
